Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Students with 24 or more completed transfer hours must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on all transfer course work. Transfer students with fewer than 24 completed transfer hours may need to meet one of the three high school qualified admissions criteria. In addition, a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA on all transfer work is required. This will depend on your high school graduation year and the state of graduation.
  • Official Transcripts:
    If you are younger than 21, and if you have earned fewer than 24 hours of college-level credit by the time you plan to attend K-State, the submission of official high school transcripts is required in addition to official postsecondary transcripts.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you are younger than 21, and if you have earned fewer than 24 hours of college-level credit by the time you plan to attend K-State, the submission of official SAT/ACT scores is required.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required for admission consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $30 non-refundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    An personal interview is not required for admission consideration.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Credits (Min/Max):
    You can transfer any amount of credit hours from a 4-year institution. Every student must take a minimum of 30 credit hours on the K-State campus to receive a degree. We can only apply 50 % of the credit hours required for your degree from a 2-year.
