Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum college grade point average of 2.50 is required of transfer applicants (3.0+ preferred).
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from high school and previously attended institutions are required of all for admission consideration.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized test scores required if taken within the past five years. SAT or ACT scores are not required of students who did not need to submit scores for their previous institution.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Statement of good standing from prior institution(s) is not required for admission consideration.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is required of all for admission consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    Application fee: $30.00. Application fee is waived for those who apply online through the Common Application or Universal Application.
  • Interview:
    An interview is recommended of all for admission consideration, but is usually not required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is a C- or higher.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A transfer applicant must have a minimum number of 15 credits completed or else must apply as an entering freshman. Maximum number of credits or courses that may be transferred from a two-year institution is 60 and from a four-year institution is 90.
