Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer credit will appear on the student’s transcript but only credits from Johnson College will be used in computing the student’s Grade Point Average (GPA) and eligibility for academic honors.
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official high school and college/university transcripts is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT/SAT scores are required for veterinary science and radiologic students only.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A letter of reference is required for Radiologic & Veterinary Technology only, as well a completed questionnaire. Veterinary Technology applicants are required to submit observation hours.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $30 nonrefundable application fee. There is no fee to apply online if requested by a Department Chair.
  • Other Requirements:
    Course descriptions or a college catalog from your previously attended institution are required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A minimum grade of "C" is required for transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Johnson College accepts a maximum of 30 credits from another institution. Of the remaining credits required for graduation, a minimum of 37 must be completed at JC.
