Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average is required.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official high school and college transcripts sent directly by the schools that you attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Please note that while you may choose to submit standardized test scores, they are not a required piece of the transfer admission process.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    One letter of recommendation from a professor/instructor is required.
  • Essay:
    The Common Application personal statement is required.
  • Application Fee:
    $70 nonrefundable application fee or waiver. We accept the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) Transfer Fee Application Waiver form and this can be emailed to us at applyhelp@jhu.edu. If you do not meet the eligibility crite
  • Interview:
    Due to application volume, interviews are not available for transfer applicants.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    You must have earned a grade of C or above in courses comparable in content.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A student must carry a full-time academic load for at least four consecutive semesters, not including summer sessions, and must accumulate a minimum of 60 degree credits at Johns Hopkins.
