Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  JSCC believes that no student should be denied postsecondary education due to financial barriers. Financial aid is available in grants, loans, scholarships, and work study.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Applicants with a GPA of 2.0 or higher will be admitted on Clear academic status. Applicants with less than a 2.0 GPA will be admitted only on Academic Probation. Some programs have higher GPA requirements.
• Official Transcripts:
  College transcripts from every institution attended are required.
• Interview:
  Some programs require an interview.
• Other Requirements:
  Some programs have additional admissions requirements. In addition, all applicants must submit at least one form of identification.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  In general, credit may be granted for courses where a grade of D has been earned if the applicant's cumulative GPA is 2.0 or higher.

Information for Transfer Out Students

• Special Programs:
  The Advising Center offers counseling for students looking to transfer to four-year institutions. Transfer check sheets are available to provide students an easy checklist of courses for a specific major.
