  Financial aid comes in several forms: grants, scholarships, college employment and loans.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Students who have attended another college and wish to transfer to Jefferson must follow the same application procedures as a new student.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Admissions is open to any individual whose academic records, potential and personal qualifications indicate that he or she could successfully pursue one of the programs of study.
• Official Transcripts:
  High school and college transcripts are required.
• SAT Scores:
  JCC does not require ACT or SAT scores. However, we do encourage students currently enrolled in high school to take the ACT or SAT as recommended by their counselor.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Not required for admissions consideration.
• Essay:
  An essay is required for applicants to the nursing program.
• Application Fee:
  No application fee.
• Interview:
  Not required for admissions consideration.
• Other Requirements:
  There are additional requirements, including application deadlines, for the nursing program and paramedic program.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  A minimum grade of 2.0(C) is required for all credit transferred.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  To earn a degree or certificate at Jefferson, a minimum of 50% of the required coursework must be completed through Jefferson Community College.

Information for Transfer Out Students

• Transfer Agreements:
  JCC has articulation agreements with many four-year colleges which outline requirements for specific programs.
• Special Programs:
  Four-year college admissions recruiters visit JCC during Transfer Day each fall and regularly throughout the college year.
