Jacksonville University offers 7 bachelor's degree programs and more than 70 majors, programs and concentrations. There are graduate programs in nursing, business, education, orthodontics, marine science, fine arts, math and public policy. The Accelerated Degree Program offers classes during evenings and weekends for nontraditional students.

When you apply for admission as a freshman at Jacksonville University, you will automatically be screened for an academic scholarship or grant ranging in value from $1,000 to $18,000 per-year.

Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, regardless of grade point average earned or number of credits completed. Official high school transcripts are required if you have less than 24 semester hours.
SAT Scores:

SAT/ACT scores are required if you have less than 24 semester hours.
Letters of Recommendation:

A Letter of Recommendation is optional, but may be requested.
Essay:

An essay is optional; however, a writing sample may be requested.
Application Fee:

There is a $30 nonrefundable application fee.
Interview:

A scheduled on-campus interview is strongly recommended.
Other Requirements:

Additionally, for prospective fine-arts majors, arts students must undergo a portfolio review. Dance and music students must audition.

Transfer Credit Policy

Minimum Grade:

Academic courses completed at institutions which are approved by a regional accrediting agency are acceptable in transfer provided they are comparable to courses offered at JU and were completed with a grade of “C” (2.0) or better.
Credits (Min/Max):

There is a minimum of 24 credit hours and a maximum of 60 semester hours or 95 quarter hours of transfer credit.
