  • Accepts Transfers:
    Each fall some 600 students apply to Ithaca from other colleges and universities.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official high school transcripts, as well as official college or university transcripts are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    For transfer applicants, submission of SAT or ACT scores is optional.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A letter of recommendation or instructor evaluation form from a professor, adviser, or dean of students is required.
  • Essay:
    The online Common Application for transfer students, includes a personal essay that details your academic goals and past experience
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $60 application fee (this fee applies to undergraduate application only).
  • Other Requirements:
    Music applicants must meet audition requirements. Theater applicants must meet audition/interview requirements. Transfer opportunities to physical therapy (PT) are competitive and based on available space.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    You can normally get transfer credit for college-level courses taken at an accredited college or university, provided a grade of C- or better was earned.
