Itawamba Community College is a two-year public-supported community college dedicated to serving the educational needs of the residents primarily of Chickasaw, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe and Pontotoc counties in Northeast Mississippi. Its main purpose is to provide comprehensive educational opportunities of the highest quality through academic, vocational-technical and personal enrichment programs in order to meet local needs at low cost to students.

    The web site to apply for federal financial aid is www.fafsa.ed.gov. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed if you are interested in applying for the Pell Grant, College Work Study, Teach Grant, Academic Competitiveness Grant, or Federal Direct Loans.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    There is a minimum GPA requirement of a 2.0 or higher grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Official Transcripts:
    College transcripts are required from each college previously attended. Students who have not completed a minimum of 12 semester hours, must provide a transcript proving graduation from an approved and/or accredited high school.
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT scores are required for students 23 years of age and younger. This requirement is waived for transfer students unless they are seeking admission into a special program requiring the assessment for a program requiring the assessment.
