Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    IU Southeast requires a 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale for transfer applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all previous colleges/universities attended are required. If you have earned or attempted less than 26 100-level college credits must submit high school transcripts or GED scores and meet Freshmen Admission Standards.
  • SAT Scores:
    If it has been two years or less since your high school graduation, please provide ACT or SAT scores.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a one-time $35 application fee.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    IU Southeast does not require an associates degree for transfer purposes.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Grades must be C or higher to transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    For regionally accredited institutions, IUS may transfer up to 64 credit hours from a community college or 90 credit hours from a four-year university. A combination of two-year and four-year credit may be used, but cannot exceed the 64/90 rule.
