Your first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). When you submit your FAFSA, you’ll be considered for a variety of state and federal financial aid programs, including grants, work-study positions, and loans.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    If you have completed at least 26 transferable credit hours at another college or university, you must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and be eligible to return to your previous college in order to transfer to IUPUI. If you don’t meet these standards, you must sit out for one semester (not including summer sessions) before you can transfer to IUPUI.
  • Official Transcripts:
    An official transcript from each college or university that you’ve attended is required. If you earned fewer 26 transferable credit hours at another college or university, you must submit your official high school transcript.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a non-refundable $65 application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    If you have attended another Indiana University campus as a degree-seeking student and have not completed a bachelor’s degree, you’ll apply to IUPUI as an intercampus transfer student.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    You must receive a grade of C or better in a course to receive credit for it at IUPUI. No courses with grades of C– or lower will transfer to IUPUI.
