Information for Transfer In Students

  • Transfer Agreements:
    IU East has several degree-to-degree articulation agreements with Community College Partners as well as course-to-course articulations.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum GPA (on a 4.0 scale) is required of at least 2.0 for Indiana residents; 2.0 for those out of state residents who are covered by fee-reciprocity agreements that are in effect at the time of application; 2.5 for all other applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcripts should be sent directly to the Office of Admissions . If you have completed less than 12 credit hours an official high school transcript or GED test scores will also need to be submitted.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $35 non-refundable application fee. If you have applied to IU East within the past 12 months, do not re-apply. It is not necessary and your fee will not be refunded.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only courses with a grade of C or better are considered for awarding of transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    No more than 64 semester credit hours earned from a 2-year community college may be applied to any Indiana University baccalaureate degree system-wide.
