Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) determines your eligibility for federal and state grants and federal loans, as well as need-based gift aid from Hope. Hope College’s Federal Code is 002273. Hope offers Transfer Scholarships that range from $4,000-$10,000
• Tuition and Fees:
  Total estimated direct costs are $47,590 which includes tuition, room, board (21 meals/week), and your activity & support services fee. Costs such as books, travel and personal expenses range from $2,560 to $3,030.

• Accepts Transfers:
  Hope College is excited to welcome transfer students from across the country and around the world.
• Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
  Remedial, vocational and developmental courses do not transfer.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Official Transcripts:
  Your official final high school transcript (submitted by your high school) and college transcript(s) from all previous colleges are required.
• SAT Scores:
  Your official SAT or ACT score report is required.
• Essay:
  An essay or personal statement is required.
• Other Requirements:
  A statement of good standing from prior institutions is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Transferable courses graded C or higher will transfer. However, if your cumulative GPA at the other institution is at least a 2.0, you may earn credit for transferrable courses in which you earned a C- or below.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  You can transfer a maximum of 65 community (2-year) college credits. Overall, you may transfer up to 96 credits. Your final 30 credits must be completed at Hope.
