Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Hilbert is a transfer friendly institution. Transfer students typically represent nearly 30 percent of our incoming class.
  • Transfer Agreements:
    Special articulation agreements are available with more than two dozen two-year public and private colleges throughout New York State and one Canadian institution.
  • Degree Completion Programs:
    We understand the challenges adults face when they return to college and we are prepared to provide prompt, clear and accurate answers to your questions and concerns.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    College credentials, including transcripts from previously attended colleges, must be submitted. If you don't hold a college degree, high school transcripts are required.
  • Interview:
    An interview may be required to discuss educational plans more thoroughly.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    For required courses in your major, a minimum grade of C- is necessary for transfer credit to be granted. Award of transfer credits for D grades in courses outside your major may include up to 12.0 credit hours.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Of the final 45 credit hours toward completion of the baccalaureate, a minimum of 30.0 hours must be taken at Hilbert College.
