Henderson State University is committed to preparing students for employment in high-demand fields in Arkansas and our region. We offer comprehensive academic programs through our College of Aviation, Science, and Nursing; College of Business; College of Performing Arts and Social Sciences; and Teachers College. Our business and accounting degrees are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and our aviation program offers the only four-year degree in the State of Arkansas.     Each year at Henderson, we welcome students who transfer here from other colleges and universities. Transfer students play a vital role in our campus community, and they bring a valuable perspective with them.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    2.0 cumulative, unweighted high school GPA
  • Official Transcripts:
    Separate official transcripts from each college attended are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    For students with fewer than 12 transferable credit hours, you must also provide ACT or SAT test scores that meet the minimum test score requirements for freshman admission.
  • Other Requirements:
    Certification of immunization

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only transfer courses earning a "C" grade or better will be considered for credit at HSU. As an exception, students may petition for up to 7 hours of "D" level work to be accepted toward Liberal Arts Core requirements.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The max allowed transfer credit hours is 90, 60-64 from two-year schools. 30 credit hours must be completed in residency at HSU to earn a bachelor degree.
