Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Students who have taken 15 or more credit hours at an accredited post-secondary institution with a grade point average of 2.5 or better are exempt from the core curriculum requirement of IDS 101-Harcum Colloquium.
  • Official Transcripts:
    All applicants seeking transfer credit are required to submit official transcripts from all colleges attended and official high school transcript and/or official GED transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    All applicants must submit SAT or ACT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    All applicants must submit a letter(s) of recommendation from an employer, teacher, or guidance counselor.
  • Essay:
    All applicants must submit a writing sample or personal essay.
  • Application Fee:
    $25 Application Fee .
  • Other Requirements:
    Required math and science courses taken within the last five years may be accepted for transfer credit.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In order to be accepted in transfer, a course must be directly relevant to the student's program of interest, and have been completed with a grade of "C" or better.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 30 credits may be transferred into Harcum College through traditional transfer credit and/or Credit for Life and Career Experience.
