  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Students seeking federal financial aid should complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) after January 1 on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The HLG federal school code is 009089 and priority submission date is July 1 for fall admission and November 1 for spring admission for traditional students. For Missouri student’s, the FAFSA must be submitted by April 1 for state grants.

  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    Vocational course credit is not accepted as transfer credit for any degree other than the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS).

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    An official transcript from every college or university attended is required, including a statement of good standing. Applicants with fewer than 24 credit hours must also submit a high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students transferring with 24 or more hours do not have to meet the minimum ACT standard for admission, but they may be required to submit ACT scores for placement purposes.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A Student History Form signed and sent by applicants to the Dean of Students (or appropriate personnel) of the previous college or university attended is required.
  • Application Fee:
    A fee of $25 (international students: $150) must accompany the application before any consideration will be given to admission.
  • Other Requirements:
    A completed Hannibal-LaGrange University Health Form (in admissions packet) and immunization record. A small, recent photograph attached to application form for identification purposes only is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Grades earned on transfer work from other institutions will be shown on the permanent record at Hannibal-LaGrange University and will be used in calculating the CGPA.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Generally, a maximum of 64 hours may be transferred from any two-year college (junior or community colleges).
