  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The purpose of student financial aid is to provide resources to students who otherwise would be unable to pursue a postsecondary education. The primary responsibility for meeting University costs lies with the student and his or her family.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Applicants with 24 or more transferable credits from an accredited, GCU-approved college, university, or program may be accepted to the University if they have an unweighted GPA of 2.25 or above. With less than 24, a minimum GPA of 2.75 is required.
  • Official Transcripts:
    If you have less than 24 transferable credits, the submission of your official high school transcripts is required in addition to official transcripts from all previously attended postsecondary institutions.
  • SAT Scores:
    You must submit official standardized test scores if you have less than 24 transferable credits.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    You may be asked to submit letters of recommendation if you do not qualify for admission with the minimum academic requirements.
  • Essay:
    You may be asked to submit an essay if you do not qualify for admission with the minimum academic requirements.
  • Interview:
    You may be asked for a personal interview if you do not qualify for admission with the minimum academic requirements.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    No course with a grade below C will count toward the required number of hours for graduation for an undergraduate degree.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    GCU will accept a max of 90 hours of transfer credit, no more than 84 hours of which can be lower-division in 120 hour programs; or a maximum of 98 hours of transfer credit, nor more than 83 hours of which can be lower-division in 128 hour programs.
