Grambling State University is a comprehensive, historically-black, public institution that offers a broad spectrum of undergraduate and graduate programs of study.   • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The mission of the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships is to enhance the overall mission of the university and to help students achieve their educational potential by providing appropriate financial resources. We will use our knowledge of institutional, state, and federal guidelines to manage the financial resources, to educate students and families, and to assist in removing financial barriers for those who wish to pursue a postsecondary education.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer applicants have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on college-level courses, and be in good standing and eligible to return to the last college or university of attendance.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Submit official transcripts from EACH regionally, accredited institution attended, regardless if credits appear on another transcript. If you have earned fewer than 18 semester hours of coursework, your high school transcript is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have completed less then 18 semester hours of college work your standardized test scores are required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $20 application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    Proof of Immunization and medical history is required.
