Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA is 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official high school transcripts, as well as official transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended, are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Official SAT I or ACT scores are required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    An Instructor Evaluation and a College Official's Report are required.
  • Essay:
    An essay is required with your application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a non-refundable $55 application fee.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required; however, it is recommended.
  • Other Requirements:
    We are very interested in individuals of character who will make positive contributions to the campus community and beyond. Involvement in extracurricular/community service activities is positively considered in the admissions process.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Course credit, but not the grade, transfers to Gettysburg College if the grade earned is a C- or better.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students entering Gettysburg College as a transfer student must satisfy all additional course requirements and a minimum of 16 course credits at Gettysburg College or through a regular College-approved program of off-campus study.
