Augusta State University and Georgia Health Sciences University have combined to become Georgia Regents. Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    For regular admission, a minimum overall transfer GPA of 2.0 is required for all transfer students.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts mailed from all colleges attended are required. If you have completed fewer than 30 semester hours, official high school transcripts are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    If less then 30 completed college credits then official standardized test scores are required.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A letter of recommendation is required of some applicants for admission consideration and those students will be notified if it is needed.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required for admission consideration.
  • Interview:
    An interview is required of some applicants for admission consideration and those students will be notified if it is needed.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grades accepted for transfer credit are a C for ENG1102, and a D for all others.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Maximum number of credits or courses that may be transferred from a two-year institution is 62 and no limit from a four-year institution. You must earn 30 credits at GRU to earn an associate degree, and 30 to earn a bachelor's degree.
