Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Applicants who have attended other colleges and have earned more than 30 semester hours are classified as transfer students.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission condsideration is a 2.50. If your GPA is are between 2.5 and 2.0, you will be admitted on academic probation.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Applicants with fewer than 30 transfer hours must request that their most recently-attended high school submit an official transcript. Applicants who have attended any college must request official college transcripts from all previously attended.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a non-refundable $20 application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    Students must submit the Georgia Gwinnett College Immunization Form completed and signed by a physician.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Transfer students are required to earn a grade of “C” or better in all Area A requirements (ENGL 1101 and 1102, MATH 1111, or equivalents) for credit. In addition, a grade of “C” or better is required in all courses used in Area F and in the major.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Georgia Gwinnett College requires all students to complete at least 25% of their credit in residence prior to graduation.
