Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    There is a minimum GPA requirement of 2.60 (on a 4.0 scale)to be considered for transfer admission.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Request an official transcript from each college where previously registered. An applicant may also be asked to furnish a high school transcript (e.g., if you are applying your first year out of high school).
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer students applying for admission during the first year out of high school should submit entrance examination scores. The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT) will be accepted.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    One recommendation form is included with the application.
  • Essay:
    A personal statement is required of all applicants to George Fox University. As a Christian university, we are particularly interested in your spiritual journey and your philosophy of life.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $40 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    George Fox University does not publish a requirement for a personal interview.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only course work with a grade of "C-" or better will be accepted.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 96 quarter or 64 semester hours will be accepted from community colleges. Each student must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours in residence for the bachelor’s degree. Twenty hours must be in the senior year.
