Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer students must be eligible for readmission to the institution in which they were last enrolled (normally defined as being in 'good standing' ex: GPA of 2.0 or better on a 4.0 scale) and must meet the academic requirement of Galveston College. Students not in good standing may be accepted on 'academic transfer probation' until the successful completion of their first semester at the college.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended are required. If you have earned less than 15 college credits, an official high school transcript with final grades or GED score report is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Official TSI Assessment, or exemption test scores and documentation are required.
  • Other Requirements:
    Proof of the Bacterial Meningitis vaccination is required unless are 22 years of age or older.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Galveston College will accept credits from accredited colleges and universities if a passing grade of C or better has been earned (developmental courses are not transferrable).

    At least 25% of certificate/degree requirements must be completed in residence at Galveston College
