FVSU is a public, senior, 1890 land-grant institution serving Georgia and the nation. Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    The minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission is a 2.0 or better.
  • Official Transcripts:
    If less than 30 semester/45 quarter hours you must submit official high school transcripts. Submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    If less than 30 semester/45 quarter hours you must submit SAT/ACT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    A statement of good standing from your previous institution is not required.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required for admission consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a non-refundable $20 application fee.
  • Interview:
    A personal interview is not required for admission consideration.
  • Other Requirements:
    A complete Certificate of Immunization form is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    A C- is the minimum grade requirement for transfer credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    You may transfer a max of 80 credits to FVSU; however, to earn an associate degree you must complete 60 credits at FVSU and 80 credits for a bachelor's degree.
