Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    You must have a cumulative college-level GPA of 2.4 on a 4-point scale from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Send official transcripts from all colleges and universities you've attended as a part of your application. If you have completed fewer than 24 college-level semester credits, an official high school transcript or GED certificate is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    ACT or SAT scores are optional.
  • Essay:
    We encourage you to submit a personal statement or essay as a part of your admission application. While optional, it can provide valuable information for our review process.
  • Application Fee:
    A non-refundable $40 application fee is required to process your application. You can request a fee waiver if you have extreme financial need.
  • Other Requirements:
    If you are 23 or older or have been out of high school for five years, you may be required to submit Accuplacer scores to determine your math and comp placement.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    C- is the lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    60 credits is the maximum number of credits or courses that will be accepted for transfer from a 2-year institution, and 90 from a 4-year. You must complete 30 credits in residence at Fort Lewis to earn a bachelor's degree.
