  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Florida Southern recognizes the academic accomplishments of transfer students and will award between $14,000 and $20,000 to students who have earned a minimum of 12 transferable credits with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. We are proud to be able to offer an additional $2,000 scholarship to transfer students who are qualifying Phi Theta Kappa members, with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher. need-based aid is available. Transfer students are also awarded need-based aid based on filing FAFSA

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    2.5 cumulative GPA to be considered for transfer merit scholarships. Students who have between a 2.0-2.49 cumulative college GPA can also be considered for admission by our admission committee on a space available basis; students with between a 2.0-2.49 GPA may be requested to submit additional documents for their application and may have their application held until additional information is received (grades from in progress work, etc.)
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcripts from all schools attended previously are required prior to enrollment. We will accept an unofficial PDF copy of college transcripts for an initial application & scholarship review. Official transcripts required still
  • SAT Scores:
    Not required
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Not required; students are welcome to submit recommendations if they would like to have them considered.
  • Essay:
    Personal statement sharing why a student is interested in transferring is only requirement. Florida Southern College also accepts the Common Application Transfer Application and Coalition transfer application essays

Transfer Credit Policy

    All college coursework must be completed with a grade of C or better to transfer to FSC
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Maximum of 62 credit hours from community college; 93 credit hours from state college or 4 year university combined;If AA awarded from 2 year Florida state college, we will accepted all coursework to fulfill all Gen Ed courses
