Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    See the minimum grade requirement below for GPA details.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Applicants must request that official copies of their high school transcripts be sent directly to the Admissions office. Transfer students must also have official transcripts sent by the registrar of each college/university previously attended.
  • SAT Scores:
    Applicants must submit official copies of their ACT or SAT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Reference forms should be completed by a non-family member and returned to us by the evaluator. One reference should be completed by the high school guidance counselor, and the other from a church leader.
  • Essay:
    Faulkner does not publish a requirement for the submission of an essay.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $25 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    Faulkner does not publish a requirement for a personal interview; however, they do recommend you schedule a campus visit.
  • Other Requirements:
    If university housing is requested, a $50 housing reservation fee is required. Course work must be submitted from an ABA-approved law school or ABA-approved program.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The grade for any transferred course must be a C or better. Dean’s approval may be sought for transferring particular courses with grades of D if the student transfers with an overall GPA of 2.0 or better (not for credit in your majors.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    No more than 30 semester hours of academic credits may be transferred . The law school only accepts credits for courses with a grade above the minimum GPA requirement.
