Class hours: 3.0 Lecture/3.0 Laboratory Prerequisite: Satisfactory completion of the English Placement Process or ENGL 52 or equivalent with a grade of Pass or "C" or higher. This course is designed as a survey of human anatomy and physiology. It covers the basic principles of human anatomy and physiology including a survey of the tissues, organ systems, and principal anatomical features. Emphasis is also placed on integrated organ system physiology, human genetics and development. (This course is designed primarily for non-biology majors.) Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab I (0-2) (C) Computer simulations and laboratory exercises in human anatomy and physiology with emphasis on the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. Prerequisite: BIOL 2311 with a grade of "C" or better. BIOL 2311 may be taken concurrently with BIOL 2111. Laboratory fee required.

Human Anatomy/Physiology I (3-0) (C) Biological molecules, body organization, and correlated structure and function of the human skeletal, integumentary, mucular, and nervous system. Prerequisites: BIOL 1305 and BIOL 1107 each with a grade of "C" or better, or ZOOL 2406. BIOL 2111 may be taken concurrently with BIOL 2311. Normally taught Spring semester only.
