A study of the basic principles of farrier science, including an introduction to the physiology and anatomy of the horse's legs and hooves, horse shoeing, diagnosis of minor hoof and leg problems and proper methods for correcting stride and alignment. 2 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory.
