Fulfills a course requirement in the Art and Architectural History Core Concentration Prerequisite: AAH 121 A continuation of History of Art I, this course introduces the visual cultures of Africa, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia beginning with the Renaissance and ending with our own modern day. Using key issues and monuments as the focus of discussion, the works of art covered include painting, photography, film, sculpture and architecture. Emphasis is placed on the political, religious and social contexts of the object, as well as the artistic process.
