Credits: 3 This course examines the history and rationale for early childhood programs. It provides an introduction to child development, the types and philosophies of children’s programs, and the role of the early childhood professional. Practical experience in a children’s program for a total of thirty hours is an integral part of the course. Prerequisite for all other CHD classes. Corequisite: CHD 199.
