If you complete the following with AP - Advanced Placement:

  • Calculus AB is designed to be taught over a full high school academic year. It is possible to spend some time on elementary functions and still cover the Calculus AB curriculum within a year. However, if students are to be adequately prepared for the Calculus AB examination, most of the year must be devoted to topics in differential and integral calculus. These topics are the focus of the AP Exam.

You may receive up to 5.00 credits at Henry Ford College:

  • For students whose program of study requires a concentration in mathematics. Topics include limits, continuity, the derivative, differentiation of algebraic, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, and inverse trigonometric functions, applications of the derivative, antidifferentiation and the definite integral. Numerical, graphical, and algebraic approaches are used whenever possible. Credit cannot be earned for both MATH 153 and MATH 180. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in MATH 175 or a satisfactory score on the placement test
