This course is an introduction to business accounting for the corporation. Learners will develop expertise in measuring, recording, classifying, analyzing, and interpreting financial statements. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of corporate assets. Technology use will be integrated into the content of the course, principally the use of spreadsheet software. Prerequisite(s): Eligible for enrollment in MATH& 142 (formerly MATH 120), or co-enrollment in MATH& 141 (formerly MATH 110) or MATH 147 (formerly MATH 115). Successful completion of or co-enrollment in BIT 156 or equivalent experience.
