An experiential approach is used as students participate in a variety of class activities designed to apply and build skills through the speech communication process. Examines how a diversity of communication styles can affect formation and maintenance of school, co-worker, family, friendship and romantic relationships. This course was formerly known as SPCH 103. Prerequisite: none.

Credits awarded for incoming transfer courses will be determined when an official transfer evaluation is completed upon the receipt of official transcripts. Credits taken on a quarter system are adjusted for semester credit hour conversion. Total number of transfer credits awarded is dependent on the Wilmington University program of study and up to the 90 credit maximum.
