  • This course provides the student with an understanding of the fundamental principles, methods, procedures of accounting and the accounting cycle. Topics will include: general and subsidiary ledgers, preparation of nancial statements, reports and analysis of data of the general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, inventory, payroll, accounting for merchandise transactions and asset management. Journalizing, posting, preparing a trial balance and worksheet, adjusting and closing entries, and preparing a postclosing trial balance are also discussed.

  • This course studies the double-entry accounting system, including: the accounting cycle, books of original entry, preparation of journal entries, worksheets, the trial balance, and statements of financial position and income. Emphasis is on the proper recording and reporting of assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses.

Credits awarded for incoming transfer courses will be determined when an official transfer evaluation is completed upon the receipt of official transcripts. Credits taken on a quarter system are adjusted for semester credit hour conversion. Total number of transfer credits awarded is dependent on the Wilmington University program of study and up to the 90 credit maximum.
