  • Matter, the changes that matter undergoes, and the laws governing these changes, with greater emphasis on atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, and energy relationships. Properties of gases, liquids, solids and solutions. COREQ: MATH 114, MATH 115, or MATH 117, and CHEM133. Students whose MATH Placement Examination score placed them in MATH 221 or higher need not take a MATH course coincident with CHEM 103. RESTRICTIONS: For majors in the physical and natural sciences, mathematics and engineering. One year of high school chemistry strongly recommended.
