If you complete the following at St. Johns River State College:

  • u (4 Credits - 4 Hours) Prerequisite: MTB 1103 or MAC 1105 with a grade of "C" or better, satisfactoryscores on the math placement exam at the college algebra level. The course is designed to familiarize the student with the theory, logic, and concepts used in financial accounting. Course content includes: journalizing, posting, preparing a trial balance, adjustments, corrections, and closing; preparation of the income statement, balance sheet, changes in owner's equity and cash flow statement; current assets, inventory, long-term assets and liabilities; corporate capital structure, retained earnings and financial statement analysis. Emphasis is placed on comprehension of accounting principles and concepts in addition to mastery of accounting skills.

You may receive up to 4.00 credits at The University of Tampa:

  • ACC 202 focuses on the external financial reporting of enterprises. The course examines the creation, flow and analysis of enterprise financial information, including the income statement, balance sheet, statement of retained earnings and cash flow statement in accordance with accepted accounting principles. Students conduct introductory Internet research on published company financial information.
