The information presented is an unofficial guide to how courses may transfer. If you complete the following with AP - Advanced Placement:

  • This course is designed to be the equivalent of a college introductory biology course usually taken by biology majors during their first year. Some AP students, as college freshmen, are permitted to undertake upper-level courses in biology or to register for courses for which biology is a prerequisite. Other students may have fulfilled a basic requirement for a laboratory science course and will be able to undertake other courses to pursue their majors.

You may receive up to 4.00 credits at Bucks County Community College:

  • This course is a comprehensive introduction to molecular and cellular biology. Structure/function relations of macromolecules and cellular organelles are studied. Other topics include transformation of energy in plants (photosynthesis) and in other types of cells (cellular respiration), cellular reproduction (mitosis and meiosis), and Mendelian genetics.
