The information presented is an unofficial guide to how courses may transfer. Other factors to consider are grades received in the courses, the year in which the course was taken, and the major pursued after transfer. In all instances, final decisions about acceptance of course credit will be made by Lander University.

If you complete the following at Alverno College:

  • - Each semester duringMid-Semester Assessment Days, the entire Art Department completes an assessment. All art majors are required to be present and to participate (except student teachers/ interns). The topic of the assessment changes each semester. Past assessments have covered contemporary exhibitions, women in art history, women in contemporary art, the creative process, artmaking in the environment, and collaborative murals. The assessment normally allows students to make an artwork independent of courses and to experiment with ideas outside of their current artmaking focus. Students receive notification of the assessment early in the semester through student email. Participation in this assessment is a prerequisite for participation in Art Department external assessments.
