  • The various classes of functions and their graphs are explored. Function classes include linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric. Skills and concepts needed for calculus (MATH221) are emphasized. PREREQ: Requires a grade of C- or better in MATH010 or students must achieve an acceptable score on the Math Placement Exam in accordance with current standards determined by the Department of Mathematical Sciences. RESTRICTIONS: Students who received credit in MATH117, MATH221, MATH222, MATH231, MATH241, MATH242, or MATH243 are not eligible to take this course without permission.

Credits awarded for incoming transfer courses will be determined pending official University of Delaware admission offer. An equal amount of UD credits are typically awarded based on the number of incoming credits. Credits taken on a quarterly system are adjusted for semester credit hour conversion. The number of credits awarded for Transfer Electives will vary based on the credit-load taken at the original institution and the credit-load for the equivalent University of Delaware course(s).
