Introduction to sound design principles and recording
techniques for multi-track production in all media production settings. As students examine design theory
and technical practices, they learn the functioning and operation of basic digital audio workstations, digital and analog tape recorders, microphones, mixing consoles, signal processors and loudspeakers as well as rudimentary acoustical physics. Considerable time is also spent on critical listening skills and design aesthetics. <b>Mode:</b> Lecture/audio lab.
