Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 must have been attained is required to apply. A grade point average of 2.5 or higher is required for those pursuing any of the engineering degree programs.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all collegiate institutions that you have attended are required. If you have less than the minimum required credits, you will also have to submit official highschool transcripts.
  • SAT Scores:
    Embry-Riddle does not require transfer applicants who have completed 30 college credits or more to submit standardized test scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Two forms are provided as part of our application for use in requesting recommendations. For transfer students, at least one must be completed by a faculty member/advisor (or an employer if the applicant has been out of college for several years).
  • Essay:
    While an essay is not required for admission, it may help us to assess your qualifications. You may include an essay when you submit your application package.
  • Application Fee:
    A nonrefundable fee of $50, payable to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, should be included with your application.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required; however, we recommend you visit and meetwith your admissions counselor. As a bonus, once you enroll, your student account will be credited with the Campus Visit Travel Award of $1000.

    Generally, courses will be accepted if a grade of "C" or better was achieved.
