  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Elmhurst offers a comprehensive range of need- and merit-based financial aid programs, including scholarships, grants, loans and student employment. In 2012-2013, 98 percent of full time students received some form of financial aid. Much of that aid came from Elmhurst itself. The average award (including student loans) was $26,675. Admission decisions at Elmhurst are made independently from any consideration of financial need.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    2.5 cumulative gpa from all colleges/universities attended with at least one year of college level work completed 2.75 cumulative gpa required for education and nursing majors
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts are required from all colleges/universities attended. High school transcripts showing a graduation date are also needed.
  • SAT Scores:
    If a student has completed 12 semester hours of college level work or has been out of high school for 3 years or more, test scores are not required for admission.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Recommended, but not required
  • Essay:
    Recommended, but not required
  • Interview:

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Courses with earned grades of C or better are accepted in transfer. Courses with grades of less than C are not accepted for credit, but are calculated as part of the transfer admission gpa.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Min. 32 sem. hrs required for admission to be based on only college work. If less than 32 hrs, your high school work will also be reviewed for admission. A max. of 64 hrs can be transferred in from a 2 year school and 96 hrs from a 4 year school.
