    The application process for financial aid is simplified at Eckerd College. Students applying for need based funds or student loans only need to complete The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The easiest way to submit this application is through the internet at www.fafsa.gov. Be certain to request that Eckerd College receive your FAFSA results by listing our institutional code of 001487 on your FAFSA. Your information will usually be sent to Eckerd College within two weeks.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Eckerd has a minimum GPA requirement of 2.50 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Official Transcripts:
    Eckerd requires the submission of official transcripts of all college work attempted or completed. If you have completed less than 2 full-time terms, the submission of an official high school transcript is required.
  • SAT Scores:
    You must submit official ACT/SAT test scores if you have finished less than 2 full-time terms at a college or university.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Eckerd required a letter of recommendation from a college professor or teaching assistant. Also, you must submit a letter of good standing form your previously attended institution.
  • Essay:
    The submission of a personal essay that addresses important college experiences and your reason for seeking transfer to Eckerd is required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $35 nonrefundable application fee.
