  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Even with Eastern's low tution, qualifying for some type of financial aid to assist with college costs is easier than ever before. Whether it be a grant, a student loan, or scholarship, funds are available through federal, state and private sources.
  • Tuition and Fees:
    Tuition is only $2,184 (plus books) to attend full-time for the year. The average WV community college costs $2,847 (plus books), and the average 4-year college or university costs $5,014 (plus books and room and board) to attend.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Eastern WV does not publish a minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission consideration.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transfer students who have earned fewer than 30 semester credit hours or have graduated from high school within the last 5 years must provide copies of high school transcripts. Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Transfer students who have earned fewer than 30 semester credit hours or have graduated from high school within the last 5 years must provide ACT or SAT test scores.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no fee to apply.
  • Other Requirements:
    Proof of immunization for measles and rubella for applicants born after January 1, 1957 is required. Verification of selective service registration for male applicants ages 18 through 25 is required.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Grades earned in colleges previously attended are included in the grade point average calculation. Exempt from this provision are courses falling under the D-F Repeat Policy.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Credits are accepted from all regionally accredited institutions and from other institutions on an individual basis. A transfer evaluation is completed on all students who have submitted official transcripts from accredited colleges.
