  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is required for all types of Financial Aid: HOPE, PELL, Work-Study, Stafford Loans and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant funds. All federal financial aid is made on the basis of verified need.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum GPA of 2.0 in core curriculum at the sending institution is required.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Transcripts from each college, university or technical school attended must be submitted. Applicants with less than 30 hours must meet freshman admissions requirements.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT or ACT scores are no longer required for anyone whose high school class graduated within five years of the date of intended enrollment at East Georgia College. However, to exempt the COMPASS placement test, SAT scores are required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a non-refundable $20 application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    Submit the required Certificate of Immunization Form. Transfer applicants are students who have previously attended another college or university with 30+ hours of degree credit.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Grades accepted for transfer will include grades of D or better in core curriculum courses except in freshman English Composition (ENGL 1101 and ENGL 1102). Grades below a C in English Composition will not be accepted.
