Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Successful transfer applicants typically have at least a 3.8 college GPA in a challenging academic program.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Both officical high school transcripts and transcripts from previously attended institutions are required for admisson consideration.
  • SAT Scores:
    Standardized testing is required for all transfer applicants.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Two recommendations from professors will be required for admission consideration. A College Official's Form is also required.
  • Essay:
    Essay and short answer questions will be required for admission consideration.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a non-refundable $75 application fee (payable to Duke University) or fee waiver request with the form.
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    The Duke Student Supplement is required in addition to the Common Application for Transfer Students or the Universal College Application for Transfer Students.
