Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Drury welcomes transfer students from accredited universities, colleges and community colleges who have a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Students will need to submit official transcripts from each college/university attended as well as high school transcripts.
  • SAT Scores:
    If you have completed at least 30 college credit hours, your admission will be based upon your college work. If you have earned less than 30 credit hours we will consider your high school record and ACT/SAT scores as well.
  • Essay:
    Discuss an incident that profoundly shaped your identity. Recommended length: Two typed pages.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $25 non-refundable application fee.
  • Interview:
    An interview is recommended of all who apply.
  • Other Requirements:
    Architecture students with transfer work in architecture and/or art must submit a portfolio of studio work and syllabi of non-studio architecture courses to the attention of Hammons School of Architecture.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credits completed at other regionally accredited institutions may be transferred if the student has obtained a C or better in the course and if the course is applicable to the degree sought at Drury.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    We no longer cap the number of transfer credits we will accept. You must complete the last 30 semester hours (60 hours for bachelor of architecture), in residence to be eligible for graduation.
