Diné College, located in Tsaile, Arizona, serves the residents of the 26,000 square-mile Navajo Nation which is spread over Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Founded in 1968, it is the first of 37 tribal colleges. Diné College has two main campuses and six community centers serving approximately 2,000 students. Diné College is a public institution of higher education chartered by the Navajo Nation. The mission of Diné College is to apply the Sá'ah Naagháí Bik'eh Hózhóón principles to advance quality student learning through Nitsáhákees (Thinking), Nahatá (Planning), Iiná (Living) and Siih Hasin (Assuring).

  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Native American/Alaska Native undergraduate students attending tribal colleges and universities are eligible to apply for both the American Indian College Fund TCU Scholarship Program and the American Indian College Fund Full Circle Scholarship Program.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Transfer courses will not be included in the student's Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and will be shown without designated Dine' College equivalents.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official high school transcript or official test scores of General Education Development (GED) are required. Transfer students must provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended.
  • Application Fee:
    All new students applying for the first time for admission to Dine' College must pay a $20.00 non-refundable fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    Official Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) for all American Indian students.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Courses accepted must have a grade of ā€œCā€ or better and appropriately meet accreditation requirements as approved by the College and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) guidelines.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Diné College may evaluate and accept a maximum of forty (40) credit hours below the 300 course level.
